On 18 September 2023, Ilaria Pietrangeli, PhD student from Università Politecnica delle Marche, had the opportunity to present the article “Artificial Neural Networks approach for Digital Twin modelling of an ejector” (Ilaria Pietrangeli, Giovanni Mazzuto, Filippo Emanuele Ciarapica, and Maurizio Bevilacqua) at the “35th European Modeling & Simulation Symposium – 20th International Multidisciplinary Modeling & Simulation Multiconference” in Athens. In the following link, you have available more information about the event:

The article proposes the construction of a model of an ejector using artificial neural networks. This model will then be incorporated into a Digital Twin to control, monitor and study an experimental oil & gas plant. Thanks to this article, Ilaria was honoured to receive “The Gianni Cantice Research Award for Gifted Simulation Students”.

The article is supported by the European AIDEAS Project and will soon be available in the conference proceedings. The Università Politecnica delle Marche, within the AIDEAS project, is engaged in the development of a Smart Retrofit solution: Digital Twins and Artificial Neural Networks are two very common tools for the retrofit of old systems.
