IKERLAN is a leading knowledge transfer technological centre providing competitive value to companies. It seeks for excellence in R&D&i, thanks to the continuous adaptation to the needs of its customers and the proximity with the business reality. Faithful to its mission, IKERLAN has been working daily since 1974 to develop solutions that allow its customers to become more and more competitive. It is a cooperative member of the MONDRAGON Corporation and the Basque Research and Technology Alliance (BRTA).
Thanks to a unique cooperation model, which combines technology transfer activities, internal research and training of highly qualified personnel, IKERLAN is currently the trusted technological partner of major companies in the country. To meet its goal, it are structured in three technological specialisation units that cover different areas of expertise:
- ELECTRONICS, INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES: Dependable embedded systems, Industrial cybersecurity, Information and communication technologies and HW and communication systems.
- MECHATRONICS AND AUTOMATIONS: Control and monitoring and Applied mechanics.
- ENERGY AND POWER ELECTRONICS: Energy storage and management and Power electronics.
IKERLAN is a centre that is dynamic and open to the world. It is an accredited agent of the Basque Network of Science, Technology and Innovation and of the Spanish Federation of Technology Centers. It has a major cooperation network integrated by renowned European centres and universities, with which it conducts activities of research and training of researchers.
It currently has the following accreditations: ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, UNE 16600:2014 R&D&I Management System and ISO 27001:2013 Information Security Management System. This is recognition of the excellence of the centre in the field of R&D&I.
