We at AIDEAS Project proudly participated in CIO 2024, the 18th Congress of Organizational Engineering in Madrid on July 4–5, 2024. Our presence highlighted our commitment to advancing AI-driven solutions in production planning and scheduling. One of our team members presented the study “Conceptual Framework for Optimization of Capacitated Lot-Sizing and Scheduling Problem.” Co-authors Ana Esteso Álvarez, Maria del Mar Alemany Diaz, and Raúl Poler developed this framework through a structured analysis of 43 articles to classify challenges in simultaneous lot-sizing and scheduling.
We also showcased our project paper, “Facilitating AI-based Solutions Integration in Production Planning: Development of an Interoperable Data Model,” co-authored by Beatriz Andrés Navarro, Miguel A. Mateo-Casali, and Raúl Poler. This work identifies and adapts a standard data model that enables clear communication among various AI algorithms, driving interoperability in production planning systems. Additionally, UPV enriched the congress with a presentation on “Smart tuning of algorithm parameters by deep reinforcement learning.”
At CIO 2024, we forged new partnerships, engaged in stimulating debates, and strengthened our commitment to innovation.
